Ganon's Tower

The Maidens Open The Way
After gathering a few potions and such, we make our way back to the summit of Death Mountain and the maidens combine their power, releasing the seal on Ganon's Tower (which is just a column blocking some stairs).  It's time to explore the final dungeon and put an end to Ganon's evil reign!  Within you'll find the largest of the game's dungeons, but the enemies aren't that big of a deal and the puzzles aren't that frustrating either.  I suppose they figure that Ganon is enough of a frustration in of himself.

Red Mail
The prize of Ganon's Tower is the Red Mail.  This armor augments your defensive ability further than the Blue Mail, doubling your defenses again.  So you now only take one-quarter of the damage from any attack.  Awesome, I must say.  Too bad it only serves usefulness in the last dungeon.  Within this last dungeon we find three of the Light World bosses (but equipped as we are with the Golden Sword and Red Mail, these guys are a joke) guarding the way to Ganon's lair.  Let's move it on.

The Second Meeting
At the very end of Ganon's Tower you do not find Ganon.  You find Agahnim, who is impressed that you made it all this way.  He commends you on your reckless courage and bravery, and deems you a worthy adversary.  But this creep made one major mistake: he forsakes his only good attack spell (lightning) for a spell that in intent is to confuse us (cloning).  It doesn't work so well, and in fact in more irony (a theme for this game, irony is prevalent: Hylians and their enemies enjoy screwing themselves over).  But either way, we simply deflect this guy's spells back at him...again...and he meets his end.
