Crystal VI - Misery Mire

So according to the first maiden who marked our map for us (wasn't that nice) the sixth crystal is located within the death trap known as Misery Mire.  This swamp is suffering eternal rains, and there doesn't seem to be any dungeon in sight...just a bunch of caves along the edges and a bunch of swamp trees protruding from the muck.  Well, as chance would have it, the Ether Medallion's symbol is atop a kind of platform amid all this chaos.  If we use the Ether Medallion's magic here, it will quell the storm above us, allowing the waters of the swamp to recede and reveal the entrance to the Misery Mire for us.  This dungeon starts to provide some unique puzzles for us and we begin now to see complexities we never did before, on top of increased action.  Wizzrobes make their way into this dungeon, and like in every title before, these creatures are vile, powerful and a pain to send to the grave.

Cane of Somaria
The Cane of Somaria is another of those limited use items.  All it does is make a block appear.  This is necessary to traverse several of the puzzles to come, so all this item does is make it possible to advance in the game.  That's the third of these items that we've gotten...fairly lame.

Vitreous
Vitreous just may be the easiest Zelda boss in history (which makes no sense, he's found in the second to last crystal dungeon).  He shoots the eyes protecting his body at you, and one by one you simply slash at them and they blow up in defeat.  Then the main eye frees itself from the slime, moving about the room.  So you just slash at that until it's gone.  Well, that was pitiful!

Crystal VI
The sixth maiden spills the beans on the connection between Agahnim and Ganon, hinting that you will face the wizard again and talks of the connection that has formed between the Light and Dark world.  She also tells you, virtually, that defeating Ganon is the only method to save the Dark World and in effect, the Light World as well.  So if you desire peace and harmony, Link, you will have to confront Ganon.  You have no choices.  : )
