Crystal VII - Turtle Rock

On top of Death Mountain in the Dark World are two enormous structures: Ganon's Tower, which is still closed to us, and Turtle Rock, a really cool structure which holds the last crystal of the game!  After this we'll be able to enter Ganon's Tower and defeat the source of evil that threatens all of Hyrule and the Golden Realm!  Let's get to it!  Turtle Rock itself offers the game's hardest and most complex puzzles and also offers up some of the most intense action, so it is only appropriate that it is the game's last standard dungeon.

The Mirror Shield
The prize of Turtle Rock is the mirror shield!  This beauty cannot be swallowed by Like Likes (nah-nah-nah-nah) and reflects beams, which means those laser eyes that have been a pain in the butt to this point in this dungeon are no longer a huge concern, so long as we're facing the right direction!  With Link's defensive capability at its near-maximum potential (only one more item remains to augment this side of his abilities) we're ready for anything!

Trinnexx
The boss of Turtle Rock is Trinnexx (named so for his three necks).  Now, this boss has the potential to be very easy or very hard.  He's hard if you didn't get the optional item of the Ice Rod, or if you're low on magic.  But if you did, he's oh so easy.  See, two of his heads are elemental: and are weak to their opposites.  So fire the Fire Rod and Ice Rod against their opposites and they actually go down quite quickly, and then go to town on the final head, and watch as Trinexx changes his form: he becomes a snake like creature, with his weak spot in the center.  This is much like the Lanmola, and simply playing hit and run with the spin attack charged at all times does wonders with this beast and he goes down in no time at all.

The Final Crystal
After you defeat this monstrosity, the final crystal drops from the sky, and within is none other than Princess Zelda, who thanks you for rescuing her and confirms your identity as the hero of legend.  You know, if we all didn't know that by now with all of the crap we've been through, we're pretty bad at this game!  However, she reminds you that if you do not defeat Ganon all of this is in vain, and bids you to hurry to his tower.  So let's go!  We need to save Hyrule and the Golden Land, once and for all!  This is IT!
