Crystal IV - Blind's Hideout

Kakariko Village turns out, in the Dark World, to be twisted and warped in the Dark World to be the Village of Outcasts.  In Kakariko, the village is populated by townsfolk who earn an honest-days work from labor and harvest and in Outcast, the village is populated by monsters and thieves who earn their rupee in more dishonest ways, like the treasure chest game (which is the only way to find a piece of heart).  In the center of this dangerous hub is a statue of Blind the Thief, and beneath is our fourth dungeon: his hideout.  This dungeon isn't much in the way of action, but in puzzle it is rich, making use of catwalks and multi-layered rooms to keep the player focused on what they are doing.

Mysterious Girl
Within the confines of this dungeon you find a prison.  Locked within is a young girl.  This fits in our theme, right?  We've been rescuing maidens.  However, something isn't right.  This girl isn't trapped in crystal, and she doesn't blab to us for an age about the history of the Triforce.  We'll find out why soon enough, but she follows us through the entire dungeon until we take her to the beginning, where she insists that we don't go out.  Um...didn't she ask we take her outside?  So we whip around, and after finding a certain room...

Titan's Mitt
While the girl follows us, we find the Titan's Mitt.  Much like the power glove, all this does is open new doors for us, as we can lift the rocks that we couldn't with the Power Glove.  It does nothing for our combat skill, so we won't be using it against our boss.

The Light reveals the girl's true colors
When we reach the final room of the dungeon, the girl screams about the light that we caused to pour into this room much earlier in the dungeon and then shows her true colors: she is Blind the Thief, but as Blind hates light, instead of becoming his blonde-haired punk self, he becomes a true monster that you must fight.  My guess is that when Blind was sent to the dark world, he was transformed into a girl but since he hates light so much, this allowed him to show "some" of his true self.  What was in his heart that his dark world form would reflect what was in his heart physically as a woman?  I guess Blind has many secrets, but that's okay!  : )  This boss fight, on the other hand, is more of a nuisance than a challenge.  Blind's attacks are cheap and he's fast in his mutant form.  But he's simple: he just has to be struck enough times with the sword of evil's bane to meet his end.

Crystal IV
The fourth crystal drops from above and you free the fourth maiden from her glass prison!  Only three to go, we're making excellent progress, aren't we?
