SQ Level Nine - Ganon
Here we are; a couple weeks later, and we are at the end of the second quest. I like our progress through the ultimate adventure as a whole! The game has saved its ultimate dungeon for last (not all the titles do so) but this is much the same as it did in the first quest, and much of the dimensions are the same for the two final dungeons: both are immense, both require minimal exposition (while they both have a grand number of rooms, one who knows what they are doing can traverse both of these deadly dungeons without much effort and still obtain both final items), both awesome final items are hidden within (the red ring and the silver arrow) and Ganon is still a push-over. I still say that any of his minions, even Aquamentus and ESPECIALLY Gleeok could have done a better job at being the last bad-guy. While less intelligent, they are certainly more powerful than this pushover and I thought that Ganon possessed the Triforce of Power. Lest that's what Triforce lore states, anyway.
Like the first dungeon, this game introduces a few annoying enemies and throws every underworld enemy you can imagine at you...but we are fully equipped at this point, so this dungeon really is more bark than it is bite especially due to its sheer size. Once we get the red ring though, there's nothing to any of the little enemies anymore as they can barely scratch us...and I always seem to make it through here without using my potions until I see Ganon. This dungeon seems conveniently built for those who hide in the door and use sword beams from afar.
