Level One SQ - The E

Here we go, the first dungeon of the second quest.  In the second quest, rather than having the dungeons be shaped as icons (which is cool and sensible in a mythos sense) the underworld dungeons are shaped as English letters, which lends several questions: first, since when did they start speaking English in Hyrule to need the English alphabet?  (I thought their first language was Engrish).

Entrance to the SQ Dungeon I

What is this?  I have to do all of this AGAIN?!  Ah, well...to the sword!

Instead of going into an over abundant amount of detail, I'm just going to try to discuss the differences between the two quests.  Right away one notices the difference in difficulty, even in the first dungeon.  You face some of the underworld's most irritating enemies in this dungeon, even if none of the puzzles are all that challenging (it is quite simple to navigate this dungeon...you explore each tail of the E.)  Not to mention you are back to, in this dungeon, being without all of those upgrades...that kind of stinks.  But alas.  That also means it'll be fun finding all of those items again, right?  Right?!  : P

The thing that is really REALLY a nuisance is the game has changed the order in which we gain our items.  So do you think we get the bow here so we can get a nice long distance weapon early in the game to supplement our sword beams?  I think not.  Instead, all we find is the measly boomerang.  Boo.

One way or another, after some serious dungeon expedition, we arrived at the dungeon boss chamber.

SQ I Boss #1 - Aquamentus
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!  I thought that this second go around was supposed to throw everything Ganon had at me, and I'm fighting Aquamentus again!  Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

This was a nice break after bringing in a bunch of overmatched enemies into the first dungeon...was seeing our good friend Aquamentus as the guardian of the triforce shard.  A wimp, he went down easily, even though I didn't have full health when I faced him.
SQ Triforce of Wisdom #1
Now I must over half-way there, unless there's something else I'm not being told.
