| Entrance to the Underworld Level VIII |
This is it: the last of the real dungeons in the first game (the final dungeon leading to Ganon never really counts, does it?) The paneling again leaves a lot to be desired, this green almost made me sick as I ventured through these halls. In addition, just like in the previous level, it seems like being fully armed and having the magical sword in hand, the game has now met its match: us. Nothing in this dungeon, no puzzle nor any particular action sequence was notable for its difficulty and Link and I swept through each corridor through ease, and got our hands FINALLY on the magic wand. The second quest keeps long-distance weaponary out of your hands as long as it can (granted, one can excuse this for as long as Link has full-health he has an awesome long-distance weapon in his sword). Not to mention something that really doesn't make since is the magic book, an item that powers up this weapon...you get much earlier in the game. Okay...
All that aside, all of the pieces of the triforce of wisdom are ours. It is time to enter Death Mountain for a second time and to put an end to Ganon's reign of terror...for now, and to complete The Legend of Zelda. This is it! Ah..when I snapped this photo, the Triforce was in the middle of its flash...Link has red-eye. : )
